Our IX Team
InsiteXccelerator represents one of four IDeA State Regions to receive a National Institutes of Health STTR award through the IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program. The Northeast IDeA States include Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, with InsiteXccelerator supporting academic institutional partners across this region. The grant is managed by InsiteHub, with the University of Delaware serving as the main academic partner.

John Royer
INSITEHUB
John is an established and award-winning L&D leader and digital learning strategist with a strong track record of delivering innovative, enterprise learning and technology solutions. John found his passion for learning and development as the Global Director of sales training & development strategy at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where he led the integration of salesforce readiness strategies and developed the digital media learning lab for emerging technologies. His current area of research is enterprise knowledge mobilization and delivery in cross-platform environments to enhance end-user engagement. John has a BS in Information Science and MS in Software Engineering from Penn State University, an MS candidate at the University of Pennsylvania in Organizational Dynamics, and an Executive Certificate at MIT in Technology Strategy and Innovation.

Julius Korley Ph.D.
UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE
Julius is a businessperson, entrepreneur and scientist with expertise in several areas of biotechnology. Presently, Dr. Korley is the Associate Vice President for the Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships (OEIP) at the University of Delaware, and an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The mission of OEIP is to promote and facilitate the commercialization of UD technologies for the benefit of the public and the university. Previously, Dr. Korley was the Director of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Partnerships for the UD College of Engineering (COE).. In this role, Dr. Korley was responsible for driving commercialization by helping COE faculty, postdocs and students develop their technologies and connecting them to the startup and industry communities. Korley is also National faculty for I-Corps at NIH and Co-Director of the NSF I-Corps Northeast Hub.

Eric Gottlieb, Ph.D.
DESCA
Eric is the CEO of Lignolix, a clean tech company, and a Chemical Engineering Postdoctoral Researcher developing industrially relevant processing methods for advanced nanostructured materials. He is also an adjunct instructor for NSF I-Corps Hub Northeast Region Propelus program, teaching/mentoring deep tech early stage entrepreneurs through an intensive introduction to customer discovery and business model assessment. Eric received his B.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 and 2018, respectively. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware, which is where he met his eventual co-founders. When not working, Eric likes to cook, ferment foods, and go on runs.

Louis Dinetta

Lou has over 40 years of experience in small business technology companies, published more than 20 technical papers, managed the P&L for research and development organizations, commercialized products and has been a researcher at the University of Delaware’s Institute of Energy Conversion and Vice President, Advanced Products, at AstroPower, Inc. as well as two other startup companies. Lou is an active board member of the Delaware Founders Initiative, and a mentor for the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance Tech Connect program. His efforts are aimed at growing technology based small businesses and startups by providing guidance for entrepreneurs to develop their products through non-dilutive government funding.
