I-RED Program
IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program
The IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program, funded by the National Institutes of Health, has selected InsiteXccelerator to offer a new set of hands-on entrepreneurship educational tools and resources through the I-RED Commercialization Program in the Northeast Region.
Our mission is to help university-based biomedical researchers and students develop the entrepreneurial skills they need to turn their scientific discoveries and innovative technologies into market-ready products. This will speed up the process of bringing these technologies from the lab to the market.
The IX team is working closely with chosen innovators to provide them with the business know-how and entrepreneurial skills they need. Our goal is to support them in successfully commercializing their technologies, whether by launching scalable healthcare startups or by licensing their innovations to existing companies.
The IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program supports small business concerns in IDeA regions to develop educational products that promote entrepreneurship in IDeA states' academic institutions. Educational efforts utilizing these products are expected to build biomedical researchers' and students' entrepreneurial skills needed to translate scientific discoveries and innovative technologies into commercial products.
As one of four US state groupings, our Northeast Region includes: Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Innovate. Commercialize. Launch.
The InsiteXccelerator team is focused on a clear goal: to boost the number of patents and successful innovations, we need to grow the number of promising technology startups. To achieve this, we must address the unique needs of tech-driven innovators. Our approach includes a thorough and engaging online program designed to support these innovators in the biomedical field.
The program will guide them from brainstorming and spotting market opportunities to creating and executing a product strategy that meets customer needs. Participants will start by assessing their skills when they register, allowing them to access a tailored curriculum that addresses their specific needs. This personalized approach helps both new and seasoned innovators focus on what they need to improve and get targeted learning support.
